1.88 hours at sea, 2 people were helped, 2 lives were saved

The Coastguard received 999 calls alerting them to a person in the water off Portobello. It soon became clear that there were two people in the water after a sailing dinghy had capsized.
The lifeboat was soon onscene, and the two casualties were recovered from the upturned hull of the dinghy and taken ashore. The lifeboat then returned with the dinghy helm and righted the vessel. It appears that a component had failed causing the mast to fail, making it very difficult to right. The vessel was recovered to shore.
