0.98 hours at sea, 2 people were helped
The lifeboat was tasked following a request from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for assistance to rescue a dog which was stranded at the base of the Cockenzie power station sea wall.
On arrival it became apparent two males who had tried to rescue the dog were now stranded with a flooding tide. The dog had been pulled up the wall so the two people were recovered into the lifeboat and taken to Cockenzie harbour where they were reunited with the dog and checked over by the ambulance service.
