Narrative
Our volunteer crew was tasked to attend an incident at Kirkcaldy.
The lifeboat crew was requested to undertake a search whilst Fife Police Leven & St Andrews Coastguard Teams, Kinghorn Coastguard and South Queensferry Coastguard undertook a search of the shoreline. Our colleagues from RNLI Anstruther Lifeboat and RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat were also launched along with UK Coastguard helicopter R199 from Prestwick.
Fortunately, Leven CRT soon found the casualty who was then taken to hospital for further treatment. At this point SAR assets were stood down to return to their bases.
